Andrew Carnegie
Andrew Carnegie has worked in the telecommunications field for over 30 years executing responsibilities that include sales, network design and project management. Areas of specific expertise include application selling with an emphasis on integrated voice and data network system engineering. Andrew's broad technical background in both voice and data networking applications has made him an invaluable member of sales teams that have designed system solutions for companies such as Sprint Canada, The World Bank, Comlink, Scientific Atlanta, STMI, Cancom, Amdahl and Bell Canada. He has been involved in designing the market strategy for network product introductions for STMI and Cancom for both the terrestrial and wireless marketplace.
Past assignments include, nine years with British Telecom and Bell Canada. During that time he was working with teams responsible for designing both international and domestic voice and data networks. While at Bell Canada, Andy was a member of the technical support team that launched Datapac, an X.25 Packet Switch service. That assignment led to a six year period within an IBM shared data processing environment. He has also worked with Amdahl on their roll-out of the DACS based multiplexer product line. Sales and marketing courses designed and facilitated during this period, covered applications for voice and data delivered via high speed multiplexing techniques (e.g. TI. CEPT. DACS and DDS). As the Product Manager for STMI. he has been involved in the introduction of voice-based wireless services to undeveloped areas of the world using satellite communications products such as DAMA and TDM/TDMA VSAT.
During the past 10 years, Andrew has used his expertise consulting to the telecommunications industry in both North American and International markets, regarding sales and engineering needs. His telecommunication knowledge allows him to maximize network design for voice and data network solutions.
